The Kentucky Interscholastic Cycling League (KICL) was organized in 2019 to provide fun, safe, high-quality mountain biking programming for grades 6-12 students. With the cooperation of our partners and our sponsors, we provide a positive experience for ALL student-athletes, regardless of ability level, following NICA’s Five Core Principles:
FUN: Inspiring friendship, joy, and adventure.
INCLUSIVITY: Everyone can participate in our programs feeling welcomed, respected, and supported.
EQUITY: Committed to fair treatment, equal access, opportunity, and elimination of barriers to encourage participation for all.
RESPECT: Consideration for all others, oneself, and the outdoors.
COMMUNITY: NICA unites diverse people, families, and communities through cycling by creating fun and welcoming experiences.
KICL Vision:
OUR VISION IS TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF KENTUCKY’S YOUTH AND COMMUNITIES THROUGH CYCLING.
KICL Mission Statement:
TO ENABLE KENTUCKY’S YOUTH TO DEVELOP A STRONG MIND, A STRONG BODY, A STRONG CHARACTER, AND COMMUNITY THROUGH EQUAL AND INCLUSIVE SCHOLASTIC-BASED PROGRAMS
